FLASHBACKS
On a rainy night, in one of Winden’s Streets, a strong bulky man with a tan skin that was covered with muscles was standing in front of a kneeling girl that was continuously getting drenched by the Ruthless rhythm of the falling rain drops on a cold winter night.
The man held a strong unflattering glare at the barely conscious girl.
He then moved from under the umbrella that was held by one of his multiple bodyguards, and into the rain before kneeling in front of the girl. ‘How could you be so stupid!’ Hissed the angry and venomous voice of the same man.
‘Iiii didn’t know the …’ she barely spoke while heaving and panting heavily.
‘Well, they did know. I told your stupid ass to stay put until further notice, but you just had to disobey me, didn’t you?’
‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry.’ She kept on repeating continuously without stopping while sobbing loudly.
‘Your apology isn’t going to fix anything.’ The man sighed while running his hand through his already greying hair. ‘You’ll be moved immediately to Germany, everything you had here will be forgotten and wiped clean. You better not come back until you’re ready to fight.’ He said with a tone of finality before standing up.
‘You’ll accompany her.’ He ordered one of his bodyguards.
The stiff, muscled and other worldly handsome man nodded curtly at him before the old man got into his car and drove away.
The moment the cars were out of sight, the poor girl dropped down like a dry leaf. She was holding up with all her might not to crumble in front of him and his men.
‘Young miss!’ The bodyguard who was left by her side came rushing to her.
He touched her cheeks to find her burning. He then glanced at her face only to see a lone tear slipping through her closed eyes.
His Heart went for her, She went through a lot, lost a lot, got stabbed by the closest people to her heart, loved with all her might and received nothing but pain and agony in return.
She was a poor pure soul who didn’t deserve any of this.
The bulky and scary bodyguard swore to protect her with his life for she reminded him of someone he once cherished.
He picked her up and drove to the hospital to check up on her.
Few hours later, a doctor came out looking kind of apologetic.
The man approached him warily. ‘What’s wrong with her?’
‘She has a brain tumour, we need to remove it before it spreads.’ The doctor said.
‘Can I see her now?’ The man asked instead of answering because he knows it’s not his decision to make.
The doctor nodded his way before leading him to her room.
He found her awake, looking at the ceiling, looking lost.
He cleared his throat. ‘Young miss.’
‘Am I still your young miss?’ She said not moving an inch.
The man didn’t know what to say to that, he wasn’t one to show emotions nor was he compassionate, but something about this broken and lost girl in front of him made him wish he wasn’t such an antisocial freak.
She chuckled softly before looking his way with a pair of misty and dull eyes. ‘Even you agree that I lost the right to be called that.’ She stated before moving back to her original position.
‘When will we be moving?’ She asked.
‘At dawn.’ He Stated.
She nodded indicating she had no problem with that.
The man hesitated a bit before finally telling her the reason he was here for. ‘Young miss, I think we’ll have to postpone our flight.’
‘Why is that?’
‘You have an operation to remove the brain tumour you have.’ He said calmly, betraying the inner turmoil he was going through.
‘I have some luck left after all.’ She stated wistfully, leaving the man all confused and wondering what was the meaning behind those words. ‘There won’t be any delay in our plans, we’ll be leaving at dawn as planned.’ She added.
The man stood there ogling at her, dumbfounded. ‘What about the operation?’
He asked after regaining his composure.
‘There won’t be any operation.’ Was her simple answer.
He finally understood the meaning behind her earlier words.
He felt a pang in his chest. She was sacrificing herself to atone the mistake she did.
‘Yes, young miss.’ He bowed before going out to arrange everything.
Few years later the same broken girl was a force reckon with.
She excelled in martial arts, law, business management, and much more other domains.
She didn’t own her own business, but she was filthy rich nonetheless.
How? Nobody ever knew. They only knew not to mess with the mysterious A.L for she can bury you alive in front of the president himself.
Not only because she had the most notorious mafia in Germany, The Crawlers behind her, but because she was A.L
Her name alone opened the most tightly closed doors in front of those who were acquainted to her.
Nobody ever saw her real face. She was always wearing masks, wigs, and such to hide her real self. However they didn’t need to know her face to recognize her in a crowd.
Her shape, her aura, and her voice was enough for people to make a way for her.
Beside the fact that she was always surrounded by the bulky gorgeous brown - headed bodyguard.
She was no longer the damsel in distress she was few years back.
She was now the mysterious A.L, but nobody knew that A.L and the famous Professor Annalise Wright were the same person.
She made sure to keep both identities separate.
However both A.L and Annalise were fearsome and unapproachable.
She had a reason as to why she picked hypnosis as a major. It was the first step in her long journey. The foundation stone of her cruel plan.
And now she had to wipe A.L and Annalise Wright from existence for Justine Wright to emerge from darkness.
A.L or rather Justine Wright headed to Winden to start the first phase of her plan.
She completely stripped off of her ruthless and fearsome identity and came back to her father and step mom’s house as the damsel in distress they knew.
Her step mom being the kind person that she was welcomed her with open arms and convinced her father to accept and forgive her after supposedly running away from the house all those years ago.
And she did after multiple tries, her father accepted her in his house and among his family, but never forgave her for leaving them behind.
He became distant and uncaring towards her, he only cared for her step brother that was older than her by a year or so.
She hated him even more, she hated that whole family, but her step brother and father especially. Seeing that they were the reason her mother died and her brother gone missing.
When one day her father came to his wife with his son that was much older than their youngest daughter, claiming that he was his son and her mother should accept him as a son or evacuate the house and strip off of every other privilege she has as the wife of the business tycoon Mr Wright.
Unable to handle the shock of her husband’s unfaithfulness, her mother had a heart attack and died the very same day, leaving her children to fend for themselves in front of an uncaring father.
According to Justine, her father and his second family ruined her perfect family, and no matter how kind and innocent her step mom was she would always hold a grudge against her.
They killed her mother, her brother went MIA because of them.
She only came there to execute her plan, not because she wanted to rekindle their nonexistent relationship, and certainly not because she missed her father.
She warned Müller and her other bodyguards to never be seen but to always linger around.
Everybody has to see her as the same innocent girl that she was, the girl that always needed protection and that was easily manipulated.
She started brewing her wicked plan, forcing her father to marry her off to the son of his closest friends.
His childhood friend, Samuel Johnson.
She hypnotized both fathers causing Samuel to force his son to abandon his beloved and threaten to ruin her if he doesn’t leave her, and her father to ‘Force’ her to accept the marriage offer from the Johnsons.
Everyone pitied the poor girl that her fiancé was seeing with a different girl every night even after their marriage.
Her in - laws came to Love and Cherish her more than their son because how kind and patient she was with their son even when he embarrassed her every single day.
Her husband started feeling ashamed and developed deep feelings for his ‘innocent’ wife in the month she spent searching for his beloved to reunite them.
Her In - Laws respected her even more when she came to Samuel demanding to let their son and his beloved reunite.
Her husband came running right after his wedding was done to stop her from leaving.
Her plan to cause a drift between those who helped and encouraged her father to betray her mother was completed, so she packed her bag and went to execute the second phase of her plan.
She went to Germany to hunt her next target, Adam Knight.
Patricia Knight’s weakness.
What she never knew was how she’d meet the one person she spent her whole life searching for.
Ernest Wright, her big brother who was forced to hide along with her second mother, their God Mother. Their mother’s best friend.
Nana Elsa….
And along with her brother came multiple other secrets.
Like how her mother really died, how ignorant she was to what was going on around her for years.
Then her brother decided to fake both his and Nana Elsa’s death to avoid any mishaps in their plan.
Which was one of the reasons she had to fake the car accident on the race track.
Adam was right when he said she was suicidal. She really didn’t care at that time for anyone but her brother and Nana Elsa’s safety.
Since she was already dying. She had nothing to lose.
Her brother was known from then on as the always hooded grußer bruder of The Crawlers.
The second reason for her to cause the crash that day on the track was to have something to tell Adam as an excuse to the pain she experiences every once in a while because he was bound to find out, since those episodes were increasing in their frequency each passing day.
She bribed the doctor to tell him that it was because her body remembered the pain it experienced. That it was a trauma her body was unable to recover from.
When in fact she was racing with time to bring justice to her mother who died a pitiful death and without anybody beside her.
When she found her brother and her mother figure Elsa, she had a reason to live again.
Therefore she went to remove the tumour but it was too late, and the percentage of the success of the operation was too small to risk.
Even if the operation did succeed, her memory would be wiped clean, and that was something she can’t allow.
At least not before she fixed everything, not before she can really sleep in peace. Even if by that time she would be too late that she would die on the operation table.
She did feel sorry for Adam for what she put him through, for what she’ll put him through when her time comes, seeing that he really does love her.
However, she had to execute her plan, she had to avenge the mother she lost all too suddenly.
She had to be the unforgiving and unfeeling bitch everybody expects.
She knew everything he felt for her would be wiped clean once he knew, that’s how unforgiving Adam Was. He hated liars almost as much as he hated to be manipulated, and she was doing both offences.
However, she can’t just tell him that his family played a part in her family ruin.. That his loving mother sat back watching her mother being backstabbed and betrayed without flinching.
She would rather be the cold-hearted bitch that used him than being the reason he hates his family.
She would punish her, her own way without anybody knowing why.
She would do one last good thing before she leaves.
This secret would go to the grave with her or be wiped along with her memories.
It was after all a daily occurrence to be treated like a cold-hearted and twisted Devil Spawn.
Like the founder and true leader of The Crawlers should be.
Surprisingly enough not even Jürgen and her gruber bruder, Ernest knew how she really felt or how tormented she was underneath the mask of coldness she put on for the world to see.
Only Müller knew.
Only her handsome and loyal bodyguard understood what went on behind those dull and cold eyes.
He knew how exhausted and almost drained she was from leading The Crawlers from the shadows, and how everything going on in her life was taking it’s toll on her.
